The Blue Room. Nashville, Tenn.

An intimate space that has historically only been accessible for live performances, film screenings, poetry readings, and art shows, The Blue Room at Nashville's Third Man Records headquarters is now open to the public weekly every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening. While enjoying craft cocktails, a bottle of neighborhood brew, or a pretzel from hometown heroes Fatbelly, guests are welcome to lounge in our dreamlike, cornerless blue space, escape the bustle of the city on our lush outdoor patio, and capture the occasion in our vintage dip 'n dunk photobooth. Regular programming includes live music, trivia, dance parties, guest DJs, art exhibitions, and film screenings from our 16mm projector.

FAQ

When are you open?

Our normal business hours are 7pm - 12am Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. However, ticketed events and shows are regular occurrences in the Blue Room, so we recommend checking our events calendar and Instagram, or Facebook before making plans.

Is there an age requirement?

Our bar operates as 21+, but select shows, markets and events are all ages. Please refer to the individual event info page on our calendar or individual Facebook events for more details.

Where can I park?

Parking is available in front of our buildings (621 and 623 7th Avenue South) and to the right of the blue garage door with additional street parking in the neighborhood. We don't recommend parking in neighboring businesses' lots.

What items are prohibited in the Blue Room and Blue Room patio?

In order to ensure the safety and security of all our guests and staff, the following items are not allowed at The Blue Room:

  • Weapons of any kind: firearms, pocket knives, mace, etc.
  • Outside food/beverage
  • Illegal drugs/substances
  • Laser pointers
  • Animals (except service animals)
  • Bags larger than 14" x 14" x 6"

Management reserves the right to prohibit items not listed above.

Do you serve food?

We do! We carry fresh stuffed pretzels and dipping sauces, courtesy of Nashville Farmers' Market favorite, FatBelly Pretzels. There is typically a vegan/vegetarian option available.

Can I make a reservation?

Parties under 6 people generally will have no trouble finding seating when there's not a show or special event. If you're planning to visit with a large group, please email [email protected] so that we can make plans to accommodate you.

Can I rent the space for a private event?

You can! More information about private hires here.

Is there always seating available?

Not always. When The Blue Room is hosting a show, the space functions as a standing room only music venue. You may still find some seating in our patio area on those occasions.

What is your security policy?

Any guest who interferes with the enjoyment of another individual during an event is subject to immediate ejection from the building. If you are asked to leave the building and do not comply, we reserve the right to involve Metro Police.

We believe that these measures are necessary to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all our guests. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines.
